The SERT Confined Space team became fully operational, ready to handle a call out emergency late in 2000. At that time we had just 11 members trained to the technician level. Today, the team consists of over 40 members that are trained to the Awareness, Operations, and of the 40, 28 are trained to the technician level. The SERT Confined Space team has utilized state of the art equipment along with some of the best training sites in Northeast Ohio to become a highly proficient team. Confined Space team members need to be proficient in Rope rescue techniques, in using metering devices to measure atmospheric conditions, all while trying to navigate their way through a 24 inch pipe or tunnel while wearing a Supplied air respirator. Take a look at our photos to see what our team is all about. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or training information.
